LIROS mooring rope HANDY-ELASTIC eye spliced dockline
- Breaking load: depends on line diameter (See table below. Reduction in breaking load by 20% due to the eye splice already included.)
- Diameter ø: 10 mm - 18 mm
- Lengths: 6 m - 15 m (different lengths on request)
- Colours: navy blue-yellow, black, white-black-red
- Construction: cover and core, polyamide double braid, braid on braid
- Material: 100% polyamide (PA)
- Core: high-stretch polyamide, braided
- Cover / sheath: high-strength polyamide, plaited
- Right end: 40 cm eye splice
- Left end: whipped
- Elasticity / stretch: highest elasticity, elongation at working load > 20 % (5 out of 5 points)
- Grip: very comfortable, handy and soft (5 out of 5 points)
- Spliceability: easy to splice (4 out of 5 points)
- Abrasion resistance: highly resistant to chafing (5 out of 5 points)
- UV resistance: resistant to UV radiation (4 out of 5 points)
- Floatability: no, does not float
- Conclusion: very robust and highly elastic mooring line which may be used without compensators or snubbers, even in extreme condtions
