Lowering Devices

Lowering devices are used in the field of rigging and especially in tree care, where heavy loads have to be moved and lowered in a controlled manner. These can be small braking devices, such as abseiling eights made of stainless steel with high breaking loads, with which branches can be lowered from the crown area. Standardised braking devices or lowering devices from the field of sports or industrial climbing are not normally used because the dynamic loads that occur can be higher.
