Shock absorbers

When it comes to mooring a boat, shock absorbers are much more than just useful boat accessories. They protect your boat from drifting away and effectively absorb the tension on the mooring lines that occurs after docking. This is especially important when there are sudden forces on the ropes and mooring lines caused by wind or waves. This not only preserves the lines, ropes, and mooring lines but also safeguards the anchor points and deck fittings on your boat from potential damage.

Classic shock absorbers, also known as shock fenders, are made of high-quality EPDM rubber, known for its exceptional resistance to stormy weather, UV radiation, and seawater. This ensures a long lifespan and reliable protection for your boat, offering excellent durability. The crucial difference lies in adaptability. Thanks to the variable number of turns, you can precisely adjust the stretch of the shock absorber to the conditions of your mooring location.

Additional protection is provided by mooring springs made of steel or stainless steel. When placed between a land-based chain and your mooring line, it effectively protects the line. However, note that older metal springs can occasionally produce disturbing noises.

Tension dampers, also known as Smart Snubbers, can be mounted singly or multiply on the mooring line without requiring a free end. These unique tension dampers allow you to adjust the degree of damping afterward to perfectly meet your needs.
