Tree Care Harnesses
In this category, you can buy tree care harnesses. Tree care harnesses are special climbing harnesses that are particularly suitable for tree care work. The tree carer uses rope access technique (RAT) or rope climbing technique (RCT) to reach into the tree canopy. To be secure when ascending and descending and especially when working at great heights, the tree carer wears his Personal Fall Protection Equipment. An essential part of this PFPE is the tree care harness.
In the Kanirope Shop, you will find a wide range of tree care harnesses that meet the different needs and body sizes of our customers from tree services, tree rehabilitation, and tree felling. We are happy to advise you by phone or email and help you find the ideal tree care harness.
Tree care harnesses must be safe, comfortable for long-term wear and allow sufficient range of motion for the work and the positioning of the tree carer. The safety aspects are determined by the relevant standards. The standards EN 358 (positioning belts) and EN 813 (sit harnesses) are particularly relevant for tree care harnesses. Lateral attachment points are useful for positioning at the workplace within the tree canopy. And insofar as the tree carers often carry a lot of equipment with them, sufficient material loops and attachment options for material carabiners should be taken into account when choosing a harness.
In contrast to fall protection harnesses for industrial climbers, the attachment point on tree care harnesses is much lower. Often there is a rope bridge or a movable attachment point on the tree care harness - at Edelrid called "Sliding D". This allows tree carers a much larger range of movement. Tree carers appreciate this freedom of movement especially since they have to position themselves much more spatially in their work than industrial climbers.
