Important information when ordering rope by the metre

When ordering products sold by the metre, please always enter the total length required as the quantity. For example, if you require a rope with a total length of 14 metres, enter “14” as the quantity. By default, you will receive one continuous 14-metre length of rope.

If you would like the rope to be cut into several separate lengths, please enter the required cutting lengths in the “Order comments” field during the final step of the checkout. Up to 5 cuts per item are free of charge.

If you require more than 5 cuts for a rope you wish to order, please contact our customer service team by email before placing your order. We will review your cutting requirements and will be happy to provide you with an individual quotation.

Please also note that, for technical reasons, rope cannot be cut with millimetre precision. Individual cut lengths may have a tolerance of ± 2% compared with the requested length.

Our advice on ropes made of natural hemp:

Please note that hemp ropes have a natural odor that will not disappears for a while. The smell is a mixture of hay and old flour sack. It will disappear after a few months of use. A certain residual odor remains forever which is often desirable when using hemp ropes in the design and equipment area. The "sour" notes will go out and the rather pleasant hay-like smell will stay.

Alternatively, you can use Polyhemp rope. Polyhemp rope is visually and haptically indistinguishable from a natural hemp rope, but offers some advantages. Polyhemp rope is odorless, does not absorb any liquids, is washable with a damp cloth and therefore easier to clean.
