Kanirope® mooring rope POLYTWIST eye spliced dockline
- Breaking load: depends on the line diameter (See table below. Reduction in breaking load by 20% due to the eye splice is already included.)
- Diameters ø: 10 mm - 18 mm
- Lengths: 6 m, 10 m, 15 m (different lengths on request)
- Colours: navy blue, black, white
- Construction: 3-strand twisted lay, heat-set
- Material: 100% high-strength polyester (PES)
- Finishing: heat-setting, produces a higher bond within the strands
- Right end: 40 cm eye splice
- Left end: hot cut
- Grip: handy and soft (3 out of 5 points)
- Spliceability: very easy to splice (5 out of 5 points)
- Abrasion resistance: extremely resistant to chafing independent of the rope being dry or wet (5 out of 5 points)
- UV resistance: very resistant to UV light (5 out of 5 points)
- Floatability: no, does not float
- Performance in wet conditions: minimal water absorption (approx. 0.5%), therefore only slight swelling and shrinkage of the mooring line
- Conclusion: the inexpensive classic for mooring or anchoring, superb abrasion resistance and UV resistance
